Store's Despatch Operative
Location: Harlow, Essex - Free On-site Car Parking
Rate Guide: £14.00 to £15.00 p/hr, overtime at time and a half (when available)
Stable temp to Perm position
40 hours - Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Store's Despatch Operative to join one of the UK's leading design and manufacturer of temporary, heavy-duty electrical distribution and lighting equipment.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of goods to customers, ensuring that all goods are picked, packed and despatched accurately and efficiently. The successful candidate will have a valid Forklift Licence and will be able to operate a forklift truck safely and effectively.
Responsibilities:
Pack and prepare goods for forward shipment, ensuring that all orders are picked, packed and despatched.
Load and unload vehicles.
Operate forklift truck safely and effectively, ensuring that all goods are loaded and unloaded safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of all goods received and despatched, ensuring that all paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Ensure that all goods are stored safely and securely, and that all stock is properly labelled and identified.
Assist with other duties as required.
Requirements:
Valid Forklift Licence
Previous experience in a similar role
Ability to operate a forklift truck safely and effectively
Good IT knowledge, experience of warehouse systems
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Knowledge of health and safety regulations
