Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a specialist education setting in the Exeter area to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Outdoor Learning Support Assistant for a permanent position starting in September.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and is passionate about supporting children and young people through hands-on, experiential learning. You will work alongside students with additional needs, helping them build confidence, resilience, independence, and essential life skills through outdoor education activities.
The Role:
Support students during a range of outdoor learning and educational activities
Work on a 1:1 basis and with small groups of pupils with additional needs
Encourage engagement, teamwork, and personal development through practical learning experiences
Promote confidence, resilience, and independence in a safe and supportive environment
Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to meet students' individual needs
Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience working with children or young people (school, youth work, coaching, or outdoor education experience is desirable)
Be passionate about outdoor learning and supporting students with additional needs
Be patient, resilient, and able to build positive relationships
Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
Be proactive, adaptable, and confident working in an outdoor environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
