TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming 2 form entry mainstream Primary School based in Newham, who are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant. The school promotes an inclusive and supportive culture, with a strong focus on helping every child feel safe, valued and ready to learn.
The school is looking to take on a dedicated Learning Support Assistant from September on a short-term, part-time basis. The successful Learning Support Assistant will be working 1-2-1 with pupils in Key Stage 1 / KS1, supporting children with ADHD and non-verbal communication needs, while helping them access classroom learning and build confidence throughout the school day.
The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:
· Experience supporting children in a primary school setting
· Experience working 1-2-1 with pupils with additional needs
· Knowledge of ADHD, non-verbal communication needs or SEND support
· A nurturing and patient approach to behaviour and emotional regulation
· Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with class teachers
· A positive, proactive and reliable attitude
