Are you currently a catering Supervisor - fed up in your current role?
Fancy working for Chester University?
Or are you currently delivering the role of a supervisor in catering but unrecognised?
This isn't your average Catering Manager role… not even close.
If you're done with the long, thankless hours… if you're someone who loves being in the heart of an operation, leading from the front, making things happen - but wants balance back… keep reading.
Because this one's a bit special.
We're working with one of the most exciting, diverse catering environments in Chester - based at the University - and it's anything but your standard contract catering setup.
Think vibrant, fast-moving, creative spaces.
Think street food concepts sitting alongside European-inspired counters.
Think fresh ideas, a bit of freedom to be innovative, and a team that actually lives and breathes great food. But that's just one side of it…
Behind the scenes, you'll also be part of delivering some of the most prestigious catering events in Chester & Cheshire - we're talking high-level afternoon teas for the High Sheriff, Town Hall conferences, formal banqueting, weddings, parties… the kind of events where detail matters and standards are everything.
No two weeks look the same here - and that's exactly the appeal.
What you'll be delivering?
You'll be right in the middle of it all.
Working alongside a large, established team of chefs, catering assistants, porters and baristas - all with their own personalities, experience, and stories - you'll be the one helping to bring it all together.
This isn't a stand-back-and-watch role.
This is hands-on leadership.
You'll jump in when needed, steady things when it gets busy, and keep standards exactly where they should be - high.
It's a team that's been around a long time. People stay. People care.
And they're ready to welcome someone new who brings energy, ideas and presence.
Is this you?
You're probably someone who:
Worked in a Pub, restaurant, busy fast food or a very demanding contract catering kitchen
Has done your time in hospitality - maybe front of house, maybe back of house… maybe both
Doesn't flap when things go sideways - you adapt, fix, move on
Notices everything… a queue building, a gap in the team, a service slipping - and just sorts it
Leads by doing, not just telling
Takes pride in standards - because it matters to youChef background? Even better - a lot of the current leaders started there.
The detail (because it matters)
