We are seeking to appoint a flexible, resilient and highly organised Student Support Administrator to join the Academy’s Student Support Team. This is a key front-facing role within the Academy, acting as the first point of contact for students requiring support and ensuring the smooth and effective day-to-day running of the Student Support area.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting students with a wide range of needs, including behaviour, wellbeing and attendance concerns. The role also involves regular communication with parents and carers, providing a calm, professional and supportive response in what can sometimes be challenging situations.
The Student Support Team is a close-knit and highly effective group of professionals who work collaboratively to ensure that all students are supported to succeed both academically and personally. The successful candidate will need to be calm under pressure, able to prioritise effectively and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills when working with students, staff and parents.
The successful candidate will need to be flexible, resilient and hardworking and committed to the role. A natural empathy, caring nature and proven experience of working with vulnerable and challenging students is an advantage as such qualities are essential requirements to work in this challenging but extremely rewarding position. The post offers a fulfilling opportunity to work responsibly with young people in the Academy.
The Academy joined the Sapientia Education Trust (SET) in June 2020 which was an exciting and important development for the school. The SET are committed to bringing like-minded schools together to work in partnership to develop a world class education. This merger promises to bring multiple benefits in terms of teaching and learning and new opportunities for students and staff. Just before Easter 2023, we were pleased to achieve the World Class School Quality Mark which is a tribute to all in our community.
We are an inclusive, friendly and effective learning community with high aspirations and a reputation for innovation. Excellent relationships between students and staff are at the heart of the ethos of the Academy and are often commented on by those who visit the school. Indeed, in our most recent Ofsted Inspection (2021) we were termed a ‘special place to be’. The Academy is a hardworking and caring community of people with high standards and high expectations. Our core values are Commitment, Acknowledgement, Respect and Excellence (CARE). CARE therefore has a genuine meaning within our school as we want the Academy to be a place where these values are seen in all aspects of our work together.
Interviews are expected to take place in week Monday 13 July 2026 and shortlisted applicants will be contacted by email with details of the arrangements. The post will be offered subject to enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance.
