Production Operative
£13.20 per hour | Monday to Friday | 8:00am – 4:00pm
About the Role
We are seeking reliable and motivated Production Operatives to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role working with chemical products, where you will be responsible for packing, labelling, and preparing products to the highest quality and safety standards.
This position offers the opportunity to develop your skills and progress into more advanced production duties, including chemical filling operations, following successful training.
Key Responsibilities
Pack chemical products into a variety of containers and outer packaging, following established procedures and safety guidelines.
Follow production schedules and work orders to ensure customer requirements are met.
Operate a range of production and packaging equipment, including filling machines, labelling systems, and packing equipment.
Use measuring and weighing equipment accurately.
Check and verify raw materials, batch numbers, chemical codes, and product labels to ensure accuracy.
Complete packaging tasks using various container types, sizes, and packaging methods.
Palletise finished products and prepare them for safe transfer to the warehouse.
Carry out routine quality inspections and maintain accurate quality records.
Perform daily safety checks and follow all standard operating procedures.
Assist with basic equipment maintenance to support safe and efficient operations.
Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and contribute to a clean, organised workplace.
Participate in continuous improvement activities to help improve processes and efficiency.
Support other departments when required and demonstrate flexibility across the production operation.

Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Adhere to manual handling, COSHH, and waste management requirements.
Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Report any accidents, incidents, or unsafe conditions promptly.
Work carefully and responsibly in line with company safety standards.
Maintain strict quality standards and regulatory compliance.

Experience & Qualifications
Previous manufacturing, warehouse, production, or packing experience is beneficial but not essential.
GCSEs or equivalent qualifications would be advantageous.
