Job Title: Workshop Administrator

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
We are currently recruiting for a Workshop Administrator to join a busy and fast-paced transport and logistics operation in Middlesbrough. This is an excellent temporary-to-permanent opportunity for an experienced administrator who has previously worked within the transport, logistics, fleet, or workshop environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting workshop operations, ensuring all administration is completed accurately and efficiently while helping to maintain compliance and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities

Providing administrative support to the workshop management team.

Processing and maintaining vehicle maintenance records and documentation.

Scheduling vehicle inspections, servicing, MOTs, and repairs.

Raising purchase orders and processing invoices.

Updating fleet management systems and internal databases.

Managing job cards, workshop paperwork, and service records.

Liaising with drivers, engineers, suppliers, and external contractors.

Ensuring compliance documentation is accurate and up to date.

Handling telephone and email enquiries professionally.

Producing reports and supporting operational planning activities.

Assisting with stock control and parts administration where required.
Essential Requirements

Previous administration experience within a transport, logistics, fleet, or workshop environment.

Strong organisational and time management skills.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Confident using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.

Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise across multiple departments.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
Desirable Skills

Experience using fleet management or workshop management systems.

Knowledge of vehicle maintenance compliance requirements.

Understanding of transport legislation and operator compliance standards.
