SEN Administrator
Location: Reading
Pay Rate: £120 - £130 per day
Contract Type: Temporary-Permanent
Hours: Full-Time
We are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Administrator to join a supportive and inclusive school in Reading. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised individual with previous SEN administration experience who is passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to the SENCO and wider SEN department, ensuring all records, documentation and communications are managed effectively and in line with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Providing administrative support to the SENCO and SEN team.
Maintaining accurate and confidential SEN pupil records.
Coordinating and tracking Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Preparing documentation for annual reviews, meetings and assessments.
Liaising with parents, carers, teaching staff and external agencies.
Managing referrals and supporting the administration of SEN processes.
Recording and monitoring safeguarding and welfare concerns.
Ensuring compliance with SEND and safeguarding legislation.
Maintaining accurate records using school systems and databases.Essential Requirements
Previous experience working as an SEN Administrator or in a similar school-based administrative role.
Hold an Enhanced DBS on the update service
Proven experience using CPOMS.
Full safeguarding training and a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures within schools.
Experience managing confidential student information and records.
Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Available to start immediately.Desirable
Experience working within a SEND department.
Knowledge of EHCP processes and annual review procedures.
Experience using school Management Information Systems (MIS) such as SIMS, Arbor or Bromcom.What We Offer
