Forklift Driver – Residential site (Wells)
Kingston Barnes are currently seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to join a busy residential house-building project in Wells. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of a telescopic forklift, supporting site teams with the movement and distribution of materials across the development.
Key Responsibilities:
Operating a telescopic forklift (Telehandler) safely and efficiently on site.
Loading, unloading and distributing materials to designated work areas.
Assisting trades and subcontractors with material requests.
Carrying out daily equipment checks and reporting any defects.
Maintaining safe working practices in line with site health and safety regulations.
Keeping storage areas organised and ensuring materials are handled correctly.
Supporting general site operations when forklift duties are not required.
Working closely with the Site Manager and site team to ensure smooth project delivery.
Requirements:
Valid CPCS or NPORS Telehandler/Forklift ticket.
Previous experience working on residential house-building developments.
Good understanding of site health and safety procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Full PPE and own transport preferred.
Desirable:
Experience working for national or regional house builders.
