The Role
As a Trainee Air Hygiene Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the air quality within the hospital remains safe for patients and NHS staff. No prior experience in air hygiene is required, we will provide full, comprehensive on-the-job training.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
Cleaning, maintaining, and monitoring air terminal devices (vents, grilles, and ductwork) across various hospital wards.
Using basic hand tools (such as screwdrivers) to safely remove, clean, and reinstall ventilation grilles.
Liaising politely and professionally with hospital ward staff and patients to ensure minimal disruption during your work.
Following strict health, safety, and hospital cleanliness protocols.
