Prep Room Operative
Location: Downham Market, Norfolk
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, starting at 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM until finish (typically 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM)
We are currently looking for a hardworking and reliable Prep Room Operative to join our team in Downham Market.
Key Responsibilities

Preparing fresh fruit and vegetables by peeling, slicing, trimming, and cutting produce to specification.

Operating knives and commercial food preparation machinery safely and efficiently.

Accurately weighing, packing, and preparing orders for distribution.

Following HACCP procedures and maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards.

Ensuring all work areas and equipment are kept clean and compliant with health and safety regulations.

Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily production targets.
What We're Looking For

Previous experience in food preparation or a similar production environment.

Good knife skills and confidence using food preparation equipment.

Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP principles.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work as part of a team.

Physically fit and comfortable performing repetitive manual tasks and standing for extended periods.
