Rabot Energy is an independent provider of dynamic electricity tariffs with 100% renewable energy. Our innovative purchasing strategies ensure both ecological sustainability and cost optimization in home energy management. By passing on the best wholesale electricity prices to our customers, we can reduce their electricity bills by an average of 35%. Owners of electric vehicles and smart meters can particularly benefit from our dynamic electricity tariff, as they can automatically charge their vehicles at home when wholesale electricity prices are especially low. Our Rabot Energy app allows users to easily set charging preferences and track current wholesale electricity prices. With our intelligent charging solutions, we actively contribute to increasing the share of renewable energy in Germany's total electricity consumption. Our vision is to empower every customer to intelligently manage their energy consumption while conserving the environment and resources. By offering smart charging and energy management, Rabot Energy actively contributes to driving the energy transition. We have already convinced over 100,000 customers with our concept.
Why now?
The energy market is undergoing its biggest transformation in 50 years. We're no longer just managing electricity; we're making it intelligent. RABOT is experiencing triple-digit growth. We have the product, we have the market fit; now we need you to get the engine running at full speed. We're not looking for administrators, we're looking for architects of our growth.
Your mission
Every kilowatt-hour we intelligently manage, every charging optimization, every dynamic price calculation runs on our platform. With every new customer, every new hardware integration, and every new product, the demands on stability, scalability, and speed increase. Platform Engineering is the part of the company that ensures this runs seamlessly—and that our engineering teams become faster, not slower.
You build and operate the cloud infrastructure on which our services run. You are responsible for CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes workloads, and the developer experience that determines how quickly features reach customers. You use AI tools not only for coding but also to automate infrastructure work that used to take days. When a deployment runs in minutes instead of hours, or an incident is detected before a customer even notices, that's your doing.
We won't throw you in at the deep end, but we expect you to learn to swim. After 12 months, your success will look like this:
Month 3 (Ramp-up)
- You have so thoroughly mastered our cloud stack (GCP/Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD) that you can independently handle tasks in your area.
- You have already implemented initial improvements to pipelines, infrastructure, or developer experience.
- You have independently diagnosed and resolved at least one incident or production disruption.
Month 6 (Performance)
- Deploy frequency and lead time for our engineering teams have measurably increased – because you improved pipelines, tooling, or self-service infrastructure.
- You are responsible for critical components of the platform end-to-end: design, implementation, operation, on-call support.
- You have established AI-powered workflows for recurring infrastructure work – from infrastructure-as-code drafting to incident analysis.
- Our observability (logs, metrics, alerts) delivers reliable signals, not noise. In the event of an incident, you'll know where the problem lies within minutes.
Month 12 (Scale)
- You have brought a major platform initiative from sketch to production – e.g., an internal developer platform, a multi-cluster architecture, or a new deployment standard used by all engineering teams.
- You have decoupled infrastructure costs from growth: We scale load without the cloud bill growing linearly.
- You have established standards and patterns (IaC, security baselines, deployment patterns) that are also used beyond your own team.
- You are the person engineering teams turn to before building something of their own – because the platform solution is faster and more reliable.
- Productive cloud experience: You have operated cloud infrastructure (GCP, Azure or AWS) in production – not just in the lab or in certifications.
- CI/CD as a craft: Pipelines are not an add-on for you, but a product. You know why a fast, reliable deployment process is a business lever.
- Kubernetes & Containers: You are confident in your use of Kubernetes and Docker, know when which pattern is appropriate – and when it is over-engineering.
- AI-supported work: You actively use AI tools to automate infrastructure work and build things that were previously too time-consuming.
- Ownership: You don't wait for tickets. You identify problems, propose solutions, and bring them to completion independently.
- Team player: You share knowledge, document clearly, and motivate your colleagues.
- Resilience: Scale-up means change. You don't complain about missing processes, you help build them.
- Impact: When a customer charges their electric car at the optimal time and saves money, your platform is running in the background. You're not building abstract infrastructure, but the foundation for a product that customers use every day.
- Ownership: You help shape the cloud stack, not just individual tickets. The team makes technical decisions - with you, not against you.
- Culture: Transparent feedback, no politics. We celebrate mistakes as long as we learn from them.
