Key Responsibilities of a Deburr Operative:

Remove burrs and debris from machined components using appropriate tools and techniques

Inspect critical features to ensure components meet quality standards
-
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
-
Use borescopes to inspect cross holes and galleries
-
Complete and sign off dimensional record sheets

Operate wash tanks to clean finished components
-
Maintain traceability of all components
-
Support part marking activities following training
-
Maintain 5S standards and housekeeping within the work area
-
Work closely with the machine shop team to ensure production targets are met
Key Skills of a Deburr Operative:
-
Previous deburring or precision engineering experience

Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
-
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
-
Experience using hand tools and inspection equipment
-
Understanding of surface finish requirements
-
Strong quality focus and pride in workmanship
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
