Our client is seeking an experienced Multi-Trade Operative to join the maintenance team at HMP Manchester. The successful candidate will carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the prison estate, helping to maintain a safe and secure environment.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out decorating, joinery, and general building repairs

Complete planned and reactive maintenance works

Undertake fabric repairs and refurbishment tasks

Accurately assess and scope maintenance requirements
-
Ensure work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales

Maintain tools, equipment, and materials
-
Comply with all health and safety procedures
-
Work collaboratively with prison staff and maintenance teams

Participate in callout rotas where required
Requirements
-
Previous experience in a multi-trade maintenance role

Experience in joinery, decorating, and general repairs
-
Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
-
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
-
Good communication and interpersonal skills

Full UK Driving Licence

Relevant trade qualifications (desirable)
