Production Inspection Operative (Shift Patroller) – Tunstead Quarry

Location: Tunstead Quarry, Buxton, Derbyshire Commutable from: Manchester, Sheffield, Stockport, Macclesfield, Chesterfield, Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas.

What you’ll be doing

As a Production Inspection Operative (Shift Patroller), you’ll be out on the Plant, keeping everything running smoothly and stepping in when it matters most. You will:

Patrol stone processing plants to monitor performance and identify issues early Act quickly on faults to minimise downtime and maintain output Support operators in achieving shift KPIs Carry out planned and proactive inspections Assist with mechanical maintenance and fault finding Ensure conveyor systems and plant equipment are operating safely and efficiently Complete clear and accurate shift reports Work to the highest safety standards, contributing to a zero-harm environment

Shift Pattern

You will be working 4 on (2 days / 2 nights) / 4 off rotation and overtime is available too.

What we’re looking for

You don’t need to tick every box but if you bring curiosity, reliability and a hands-on mindset, we want to hear from you. Suitable candidates will have:

Experience in an industrial, manufacturing or heavy Plant environment A strong safety-first attitude Confidence working both independently and as part of a team A proactive, problem-solving mindset IT and basic report writing skills Knowledge of crushing, screening or washing processes (advantageous) Experience with mobile or fixed plant equipment (advantageous) Basic mechanical understanding and fault-finding skills (advantageous) Familiarity with maintenance systems and reporting (advantageous)
