Storesperson (FLT Licence Required)

The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Storesperson to join a busy and growing operation. This role is ideal for someone with strong warehouse and stock control experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate inventory records.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring materials, stock and equipment are received, stored and issued efficiently while supporting the wider warehouse and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities

Receiving, checking and booking in deliveries.

Loading and unloading vehicles using Forklift Trucks.

Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory levels.

Picking and issuing parts, materials and consumables to internal departments.

Carrying out regular stock counts and cycle counts.

Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies.

Ensuring all goods are stored safely and correctly.

Updating stock movements using warehouse management systems and spreadsheets.

Preparing materials for dispatch and arranging shipments where required.

Maintaining a clean, organised and safe stores environment.

Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse and stores function.

Following all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience working within a Storesperson, Stock Controller, Warehouse Operative or Materials Controller role.

Valid Counterbalance FLT licence.

Experience using stock control or warehouse management systems.

Good understanding of goods-in, goods-out and inventory processes.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good communication and organisational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Basic IT skills including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Desirable Experience

Reach Truck licence.

Experience within manufacturing, engineering or logistics environments.

Knowledge of inventory management and stock control procedures.

Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems.
