We are looking for an immediately available, meticulous and organised Finance Assistant to join a busy Accounting & Finance department based near Chipping Norton for a 6 month fixed-term contract. This is a transactional role that focuses on supporting financial operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.

Description
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports
Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner
Assist with journal postings
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies where necessary
Support the month-end and year-end financial close processes
Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations
Provide support to the Accounting & Finance team on ad hoc projects
Maintain organised and up-to-date financial documentation and filing systems
Liaise with suppliers and internal teams confidentlyProfile
A successful Finance Assistant should be/have:
Experience in a high volume, transactional role
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Ability to work well under pressure
An understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements
The ability to work effectively within a team environment
Excellent communication skills
