A highly supportive and inclusive specialist educational setting is seeking compassionate and proactive individuals to join its growing support team as a SEN Learning Support Assistant.
The setting caters for students with a range of additional learning needs and prides itself on creating a nurturing environment where both students and staff are encouraged to thrive. There are opportunities available across whole-class support, targeted intervention groups and dedicated 1:1 support roles. Previous SEN experience is desirable; however, it is not essential, as comprehensive training and ongoing support will be provided.
The role involves:
Supporting students within the classroom to access learning effectively
Providing small group intervention support
Working on a 1:1 basis with pupils who require additional guidance
Promoting positive behaviour, confidence and emotional wellbeing
Assisting teaching staff with classroom preparation and activities
Successful candidates will:
Be patient, empathetic and adaptable
Have a genuine interest in supporting young people with additional needs
Work well as part of a team
Demonstrate strong communication skills
Be eager to learn and develop professionally
