Personal Assistant
We are looking for a compassionate, proactive and reliable Personal Assistant to support a an individual with profound learning disabilities and complex physical needs.
The gentleman we support is non-verbal and wheelchair bound and requires full support with all aspects of daily living, including personal and intimate care. He is a happy, smiley gentleman with a warm personality who communicates his preferences and makes his feelings known in his own unique ways.
He enjoys being active, and particularly loves attending rebound therapy, adaptive cycling and swimming. We are looking for someone who will take the time to understand him, build trust, and support him to live a comfortable, happy and meaningful life with his family.
About the Role
This is a hands-on support role where no two days are the same. The successful Personal Assistant will provide person-centred support tailored to his changing needs and routines.

Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, sensory impairments or complex care needs would be beneficial, although full training can be provided for the right person.

Hours
The role is primarily Monday to Friday covering 30 hours per week during daytime hours, with flexibility required on occasion to provide respite support during evenings or weekends.
Essential Requirements

Full UK driving licence is essential and willingness to drive adapted vehicle

Ability to support community activities and transport specialist equipment, including a wheelchair that attaches to a bicycle
