Attega Group is working on behalf of our client as their in-house recruitment provider.
We are currently recruiting for a Plumbing/Drainage assistant to join their team.
The main purpose of this Plumbing/Drainage Assistant role is to assistant the Lead Plumbing/Drainage operative with quoted works and remedial teams.
In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £36,000 P/A, depending on experience.
This role is full-time and permanent.
Reporting to the Operations Manager your responsibilities will include:
assist the lead operative undertaking internal and external investigation works, above ground and below ground descales with use of HPWJ and mechanical coring/ milling equipment.
Learning how to operating electrical mechanical coring equipment and Picote milling machines for internal drainage clearance works.
Become competent in operating HPWJ equipment
Capable of investigating and tracing external underground drainage systems on commercial and industrial sites.
Strong attention to detail and a customer focused attitude.
Must be a self-motivated individual and it is important that you have excellent people, communication and customer service skills.
Leak tracing and investigation on above ground water services
Repairing leaks on water services in service voids and risers.
Removing and replacing small bore waste pipe on pot wash sinks, basins, urinals etc
Replacing mixer taps, wash down taps and spray guns
Replacing toilet float lines and stack pipework
Removing and Installing cast iron soil pipework
Supporting drainage operatives with internal drain descales.
Capable of identifying configuration and design issues within internal drainage systems.
Competent in undertaking CCTV survey inspections where you will be responsible for identifying defects, pipe condition, design issues and misconnections within underground and above ground drainage systems.
Using CCTV equipment to support leak investigation.
Taking water samples to confirm source of leaks.
The ideal candidate:
Willingness to learn
Full UK Driving Licence
Happy to assist on nights and possible stay away works
Plumbing/ Drainage experience or understanding
