Systems Engineer
Location: Whitstable
Job Type: Full-time
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts typically between 07:00 and 19:00, with occasional weekend work.

Role Overview
Seeking a Systems Engineer to carry out installations, construction, and builds of workshop-based security systems, including access control, wireless systems, CCTV, ARC, and SICS units. The role involves both workshop and site-based work, working independently and alongside other engineers while ensuring health and safety standards are maintained.
ResponsibilitiesTechnical

Assist with the build, manufacture, and configuration of IP, HDTVI, CCTV, access control systems, and wireless infrastructures.

Support work on ARC and SICS units for workshop and site projects.

Analyse, troubleshoot, and configure control panels, cameras, and associated equipment.
Operational

Follow goods-in procedures.

Support and maintain quality control procedures.

Assist with installations and deployments.
General
- Contribute to team tasks and support colleagues where required.
Requirements Preferred

Experience as a Security Systems Engineer.

Knowledge of CCTV, access control, and wireless systems.

Understanding of DVR and NVR systems.

Experience with data cabling and terminations.

Networking experience in IP systems.

IPAF certification.

Health and safety qualification.

NRSWA certification.

ECS card.
Essential

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Analytical problem-solving ability with commercial awareness.

Full UK driving licence.

Ability to work independently and use initiative.
Salary: £27,000 – £35,000 per year
