Purchasing Assistant
Rotherham
£27,000 per annum
Full Time | Permanent
We are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Assistant to join a growing and fast-paced business based in Rotherham. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual looking to develop their career within purchasing and supply chain operations.
Working closely with the procurement and operations teams, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day purchasing function, ensuring materials, products and supplies are ordered efficiently and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities

Raising and processing purchase orders

Liaising with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times and deliveries

Monitoring stock levels and supporting inventory management

Chasing outstanding orders and updating internal systems

Supporting invoice queries and supplier documentation

Maintaining accurate purchasing records and databases

Assisting with general administration within the procurement department

Working closely with warehouse, finance and operations teams
The Ideal Candidate

Previous administration or purchasing experience preferred

Strong organisational and communication skills

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook

Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines

Proactive and willing to learn

Experience within manufacturing, logistics, supply chain or procurement environments would be advantageous
