£110-£115 per day

Long Term Futures is recruiting for a committed and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join a secondary school in Birmingham, supporting students with SEND. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
The role will focus on supporting secondary-aged pupils, many of whom have additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, and SEMH, often requiring tailored support and consistent guidance throughout the school day.
About the Role
Working closely with teaching staff, the SENCo, and pastoral teams, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with SEND
- Supporting pupils within lessons and in alternative learning environments
- Assisting with the delivery of structured and engaging lessons
- Implementing strategies to support behaviour, engagement, and learning
- Supporting students with emotional regulation and transitions between lessons
- Monitoring progress and behaviour, providing feedback to staff where appropriate
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive social interactions

Working collaboratively with staff to support individual learning plans
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience working with secondary-aged pupils with SEND
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Calm, patient, and resilient in challenging situations
- Able to build positive relationships while maintaining clear boundaries
- Reliable and committed to a long-term role
