Aspire People are currently recruiting for a caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to work within a welcoming primary school setting.
This role is ideal for someone who has recent experience working within a UK primary school but may not yet hold a formal Teaching Assistant qualification. The school is looking for someone who can build positive relationships with pupils, support learning in the classroom, and work confidently as part of a team.
We are also keen to hear from candidates with transferable experience working with children in roles such as youth work, sports coaching, tutoring, mentoring, or professional childcare.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils within the classroom environment
- Working with children on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Assisting the class teacher with daily classroom activities
- Helping children remain engaged and focused during lessons
- Encouraging positive behaviour and social development
- Supporting children with varying learning needs and abilities
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have recent experience working with children
- Ideally have worked within a UK primary school in the last 2 years
- OR have transferable experience such as youth work, coaching, mentoring, tutoring, or childcare
- Be patient, nurturing, and proactive
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills
- Be passionate about supporting children within education
