Beyond Talent is working with a well-established, growing business in the Barnsley area to recruit an Assistant Accountant into their finance team.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role and wants to develop their experience across both transactional finance and month-end processes - with full training and support provided.
The role:
You’ll play a key part in supporting the finance function, with responsibilities including:
Managing the purchase ledger
Performing bank reconciliations
Supporting with accruals and prepayments
Handling rebates and intercompany transactions
Assisting with import-related accounting
Reconciling company credit cards
Supporting the production of management accounts
This is a hands-on role with plenty of exposure and the chance to really build on your accounting knowledge.
What we’re looking for:
Previous experience in an accounts role (Assistant Accountant / Accounts Assistant level)
Strong understanding of purchase ledger and reconciliations
Experience using Sage and Excel
Confident with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPS
A proactive, organised approach and willingness to learn
