Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 + study support
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone currently operating within an Accounts Assistant role who is looking to gain wider exposure, development, and genuine long-term progression. There is a clear pathway into a Management Accountant position, alongside study support and hands-on mentorship to help you get there.
You will work closely with a highly supportive CFO who is keen to invest in your development and help you progress within the finance function.
The ideal candidate will already have experience within a varied accounts role, ideally be studying AAT, and be someone who is keen to get involved across the wider finance function and support the business where needed.
Candidates must be on no more than a 4-week notice period, with candidates who are immediately available or available at short notice being particularly desirable. This business is looking for the right person long term, so if you are on a 4 week notice and feel the role suits, please get in touch.
Main duties:
Supporting month-end processes and assisting the CFO in the preparation of management accounts
Performing daily, weekly, and monthly finance administration duties to ensure smooth running of the accounts function
Processing and accurately posting both sales and purchase invoices, ensuring records are maintained in a timely and accurate manner
Completing regular bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies where necessary
Managing the accounts inbox on an ongoing basis & responding to queries
Liaising professionally with customers and suppliers via email and telephone
Supporting wider finance team activities on an ad hoc basis, contributing to continuous improvement and operational efficiency
Candidate specification:
• Have previous experience within an Accounts Assistant role
• Possess strong organisational and communication skills
• Experience with Excel
• Ideally be studying towards AAT Level 2 or above
