Location: Oldham
Rate: £14.79 pe hour
Contract: Full-time, Temporary to permanent for the right candidate
Hours: 47.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday with the ocassional Saturday working
The Role:
We are currently recruiting for a Refuse Driver (HGV Class 2) to support waste collection services across the Oldham area. his is a hands-on role requiring safe driving, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.
Proven experience driving HGVs, ideally in waste management or a related industry.
Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, safety regulations, and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities

Driving a HGV Class 2 refuse vehicle

Ability to drive or be trained on Skip, Hookloader, Trade Waste, FEL, or Moffat vehicles

Ensuring vehicle safety checks are completed

Commitment to safety, sustainability, and teamwork.

Adhering to health & safety and road regulations

Physically fit for manual handling duties and wearing PPE (provided).
Requirements

Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence

CPC qualification

Digital Tachograph card

Previous refuse or similar driving experience desirable

Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
