Sapien is looking for multiple Production Operatives to join our client’s engineering team in Kent. This role involves assembling both simple and complex mechanical/electro-mechanical components in a quality-focused production environment.
Please note: due to the nature of the work, candidates must be eligible to obtain SC-level security clearance.
Job Responsibilities

Safely and effectively use a variety of hand and bench tools.

Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions accurately.

Carry out mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly tasks to a high standard.

Follow verbal instructions from team members and the Line Manager.

Attend customer and supplier visits when required; therefore, a full UK driving licence and valid passport are essential.

Produce high-quality components in line with company standards and procedures.
Skills Required
-
Experience assembling simple and complex mechanical/electro-mechanical components with a strong focus on quality.

Previous experience within the defence sector is desirable but not essential.

Confident using hand tools, including torque drivers.

Knowledge of ESD procedures is beneficial but not essential.

Computer literate, including MS Office packages.

Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical information.

Experience using a range of hand and bench tools to produce high-quality assemblies.
Compensation & Other Benefits
-
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, with overtime available.

9-day fortnight (every other Friday off).

£14.10 – £17.35 per hour, depending on experience.
