The Role
Pace Infrastructure are currently recruiting for a Yardman / Labourer to support operations within a busy rail and civil engineering environment. This role is ideal for someone hands-on, reliable, and experienced working within construction, civils, rail, or industrial yard environments.
You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and organised yard, supporting deliveries, loading/unloading materials, and assisting site teams and plant operations as required.
Key Responsibilities

Keeping the yard clean, organised, and operational

Loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment

Assisting with stock control and material management
-
Supporting plant operators and site teams

Carrying out general labouring duties

Moving equipment and materials safely around the yard/site

Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed at all times

Supporting vehicle checks and general upkeep of welfare areas
Requirements
-
Previous experience as a Labourer or Yard Operative
-
CSCS Card preferred
-
PTS advantageous but NOT a must (for rail environments)
-
Forklift or Telehandler tickets advantageous but not a MUST
-
Good attitude and willingness to work as part of a team

Full UK Driving Licence preferred
