Youth Inclusion Support Assistant
Location: East Finchley, Barnet
A welcoming Primary School in East Finchley is seeking a confident and proactive Youth Inclusion Support Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a Year 1 pupil with Autism (ASD).
This is a highly rewarding role suited to someone who is calm, resilient, and able to build a strong, consistent relationship with a young child requiring structure, encouragement, and daily support.

Is comfortable supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
Has good energy and can engage pupils through structured, active support

1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with Autism (ASD)
Supporting learning, behaviour, and emotional development
Full-time, long-term role
Working hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Immediate start or September start availableKey Responsibilities
Supporting the pupil to stay engaged and focused throughout the school day
Assisting with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Encouraging independence and confidence in learning
Using structured routines to support consistency and progress
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
Supporting learning both inside and outside the classroomRequirements
Minimum 6 months' experience working with children or young people
Experience or strong interest in SEN (particularly Autism/ASD)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
