Learning Support Assistant
Location: Oldham
Contract: Full-time, term time only
Start Date: Immediate / ASAP
A welcoming secondary school is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This role will involve supporting students across the classroom, helping learners access the curriculum, and providing targeted support where needed.
The successful candidate will be patient, approachable, and committed to helping young people succeed. Experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable, but a strong willingness to learn and a positive attitude are just as important.
Requirements:
Experience working with young people in a school, education, or care setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, positive, and adaptable approach.
Ability to support students with a range of learning needs.
A valid enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
Key responsibilities:
Support students in lessons across a range of subjects.
Work with teachers to adapt activities and resources.
Provide one-to-one and small group support.
Help promote positive engagement and progress.
