The Role - Day to Day
Machine Operation: Set up and run industrial embroidery machines (ideally Barudan or similar), ensuring all jobs are executed to specification
Machine Setup: Select and load the correct threads, needles, and bobbins for each job
Framing & Hooping: Precisely hoop and frame garments and textiles to guarantee accurate alignment and design placement
Production Monitoring: Continuously oversee machine performance, adjusting tensions and troubleshooting thread breaks, needle issues, or birdnesting
Quality Control: Proactively monitor output, identifying and correcting faults before products leave your station
Maintenance: Carry out basic machine upkeep including threading, needle changes, and daily cleaning/oiling
Finishing: Complete final product preparation including trimming backings, steaming, and folding finished items
What We're Looking For
Experience: Proven track record working with industrial/commercial embroidery machinery (minimum 1 year preferred)
Technical Ability: Confident loading designs, selecting suitable needles/threads, and adjusting machine settings for different fabrics
Attention to Detail: A perfectionist's eye - you spot even the smallest stitching flaw instantly
Reliability: Dependable, punctual, and committed to meeting weekly production targets
Work Ethic: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and maintaining high standards across large production runs
Physical Capability: Able to stand for extended periods and carry out repetitive tasks
