Production Operative – Vibration Assembly (Aerospace Components)
Pertemps are currently recruiting for Production Operatives to join a busy client, based in Reading.
Rota: Monday to Friday, 08:30 -16:30 Shift
We are looking for Production Operatives to support the build and assembly of aerospace anti-vibration mounts, using standard factory machinery and tooling. This role requires mechanical aptitude, consistency, and adherence to strict quality and process controls.
Key Responsibilities for a successful Production Operative
Assemble anti-vibration mounts and sub-components in line with work instructions and engineering drawings
Operate standard factory equipment (e.g. presses, fixtures, torque tools) safely and correctly
Ensure correct component selection, orientation, and fit during assembly
Carry out in-process inspection checks to verify quality and conformity
Maintain full traceability of components and batches
Identify and report any defects, issues, or non-conformances
Follow standard operating procedures and AS9100 quality requirements
Complete production documentation accurately
Essential Requirements
Previous experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing
Basic understanding of engineering drawings or assembly instructions
Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude
Ability to work with tools, fixtures, and machinery safely
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Reliable and able to work consistently to production targets
Desirable Experience
Experience in aerospace, automotive, or precision engineering environments
Familiarity with press work, bonded components, or rubber-metal assemblies
Knowledge of torque settings, fit tolerances, or assembly sequencing
Exposure to AS9100 or regulated manufacturing environments
Working Environment
Manufacturing/production setting
Use of machinery and tooling (training provided where required)
PPE required at all times
