The Role:
As a Graduate SEMH Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils across KS1 and KS2 who require additional emotional, behavioural, and pastoral support. You will play a key role in helping children feel safe, engaged, and ready to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
Supporting children with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Assisting the class teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment
Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
Working alongside SENCOs, teachers, and external professionals
Encouraging confidence, resilience, and social developmentThe Ideal Candidate:
A graduate in Psychology, Education, Criminology, Sociology, Health & Social Care, or a related field
Passionate about supporting vulnerable children and young people
Calm, resilient, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
A genuine interest in SEN, SEMH, and inclusive educationWhat the School Offers:
