The Role
As an Accounts Assistant, you will support the smooth running of financial operations across multiple areas, including ledgers, reconciliations, and reporting. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of accounting processes within a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
Processing invoices, credit notes, and receipts across sales and purchase ledgers
Carrying out credit control activities and credit checks
Reconciling purchase ledger payments for approval
Managing cash book entries and performing bank reconciliations
Supporting costing processes
Generating and processing sales ledger invoices and applications for payment
Using accounting systems such as Sage (training provided)
About You
Previous experience in a similar accounts or finance role
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
Good understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
High attention to detail with a methodical, logical approach
Positive work ethic with the ability to meet deadlines
