We are seeking a dedicated and reliable confined space Operative to join our team at our site in Sittingbourne.
This is a key role responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the outside facilities. The successful candidate will work closely with the maintenance team to ensure that the site is clean, well-maintained, and operates safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out routine maintenance and repair tasks across the of the confined space of interia buildings , including but not limited to:·
Vacuum Tankering: Carry out vacuum tankering tasks to maintain cleanliness and safety on-site.·
Jet Washing and Steam Cleaning: Clean and maintain external surfaces and equipment using jet washing and steam cleaning techniques.·
Gulley Sucking: Perform gulley sucking to maintain drainage systems.·
Drain Clearing: Clear and maintain drains and other wastewater systems.·
Site Housekeeping: Maintain overall cleanliness and tidiness of the site.· Confined Space Cleaning: Safely clean and maintain confined spaces as per safety regulations.·
Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the site by adhering to company health and safety policies and procedures.·
Respond promptly to any maintenance requests or emergencies.
Work in collaboration with other departments to ensure the efficient operation of the mill
Requirements: Ability to work in confined spaces smelly and dirty areas in all weather conditions.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver’s license (preferred but not essential).
Construction labourer cscs card ( green )Any relevant construction certifications would be an advantage
