Location: Lymington - Onsite
Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour
Contract: Temporary (initially approx. 6 months, with potential extension and possible conversion)
Hours: Weekly rotating shift pattern
Week 1:
Monday-Thursday: 8:00am-4:00pm
Friday: 9:00am-2:00pm
Week 2:
Monday-Thursday: 10:00am-6:00pm
Friday: 11:00am-4:00pm
Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to support day-to-day warehouse operations in Lymington. Working under close supervision, you will play a key role in the safe, accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials, while maintaining high standards of quality, housekeeping, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Adhere strictly to all health and safety rules, procedures, and work instructions
Receive, unload, and store incoming raw materials and finished goods
Carry out internal stock movements following FIFO (First In, First Out) principles
Pick, prepare, and stage customer orders accurately and on time
Perform visual inspections of trucks, containers, and tankers to prevent product damage
Complete and maintain accurate documentation for all warehouse activities
Operate warehouse equipment safely, including completing daily forklift checks
Report non-conforming products, equipment faults, or safety concerns promptly
Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organised working environment
Work collaboratively with supervisors, colleagues, and other departments
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively with limited supervision
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and ERP systems (e.g. PRISM)
Desirable Skills & Experience
At least 1 year's experience in a warehouse or similar environment
Valid forklift certification (Counterbalance and Reach)
Understanding of inventory control and stock rotation processes
SAP experience or training
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25kg
Regular stair climbing and manual handling required
