Material Handling Operator - Lincoln
Belcan Workforce Solutions is recruiting a Material Handling Operator to join a busy, safety-led logistics operation based in Lincoln. This inside IR35 contract role offers a great opportunity to work within a structured warehouse environment, supporting critical engineering and manufacturing activities while developing your skills in materials handling and stock control.
The role focuses on the day-to-day movement of materials across the site, ensuring goods are received, stored, picked and dispatched accurately and efficiently. You will work as part of a collaborative team, contributing to smooth operations and ensuring stock accuracy is maintained at all times. As a Material Handling Operator, you will be expected to work proactively, manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively with colleagues across the business.

As a Material Handling Operator, you will play a key role in supporting operational priorities while working to defined procedures and deadlines.
Key responsibilities include:
Receiving and checking incoming goods against delivery documentation
Booking materials into stock systems and maintaining accurate records
Picking, kitting and packing materials for internal use and dispatch
Operating forklifts, pallet trucks and other manual handling equipment
Moving materials safely within warehouse and storage areas
Supporting regular stock checks and inventory activities
Adhering to health, safety and quality procedures at all times
Essential requirements:
Previous warehouse or stores experience
Forklift or materials handling equipment experience
Basic computer skills
Strong attention to detail and a safety-first approach
This role is offered on an inside IR35 basis, paying £15.26 per hour PAYE or £20.50 per hour via umbrella, with overtime paid at 1.25x during the week and 1.5x at weekends.
This is a fully site‑based role in Lincoln, with flexibility required to travel between local sites as part of normal working arrangements.
