This role is to join an engineering consultancy operating in the construction industry. This apprentice / trainee role will be responsible for assisting engineers in order that you gain experience and detailed working knowledge of all parts of the construction industry; you will become a design engineer.
Responsibilities

Assist Senior Engineers with detailed design tasks, equipment selection and drawing production.

Learn about components to system designs and the different types of systems that exist in buildings.

Learn how to carry out detailed design calculations and how to use computer design packages.

Learn and understand construction techniques.

To gain a comprehensive understanding of sustainable design.
Experience & Qualifications

You will need to be technically minded

A levels including a technical / science / maths based subject or a technical or engineering / technical based BTEC

An enthusiasm to learn and build a career as a design engineer
