Driver Hire Gatwick is currently recruiting for an experienced Forklift Driver to join our client based in Crawley. This is a full-time position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
You will be responsible for loading and unloading a variety of cargo using a forklift truck and other mechanical equipment, as well as performing manual handling where required.
Key Duties:
- Loading and unloading vehicles carrying mixed cargo
- Operating a forklift truck safely and efficiently
- Using additional mechanical handling equipment as required
- Completing manual handling tasks when necessary
- Ensuring loads are secure and handled safely
- Complying with all Health & Safety and on-site procedures
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Valid Forklift Truck licence (Counterbalance or Reach depending on site requirements)
- Previous experience loading/unloading vehicles
- Ability to operate equipment safely and responsibly
- Good understanding of manual handling procedures
- High attention to safety and accuracy
- PPE required: Hi‑Vis and Safety Boots
- Own transport preferred for commuting to the depot
