Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities

Primary schools across Southampton are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join their teams. Both full-time and part-time roles are available, with immediate and September start dates.
This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced LSAs as well as those looking to begin a fulfilling career in education. You will play an important role in supporting pupils’ academic progress, personal development, and overall wellbeing within a primary school environment.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
Provide one-to-one support and work with small groups of pupils
Assist teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
Support children with additional needs, including SEN
Contribute to a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment
Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
Requirements
Experience working with children or young people (desirable, not essential)
A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting children, particularly those with additional needs
