This Assistant Management Accountant role offers an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation operating across the UK and Europe, where your work will play a key part in maintaining financial control and supporting continued expansion.
We are partnering with a successful and fast-moving business seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team. You’ll support the Financial Controller and be involved in a wide range of financial processes, from payroll and VAT to reconciliations and management reporting. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with detail, solving problems and contributing to a high-performing finance function.
What You’ll Be Doing
✔ Completing weekly bank reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
✔ Supporting with purchase invoice processing when required
✔ Assisting with monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
✔ Preparing and submitting VAT returns for multi-country registrations
✔ Working closely with budget holders to monitor and control costs
✔ Supporting year-end statutory accounts and external audit processes
✔ Contributing to annual budgeting and financial forecasting
✔ Processing monthly payroll and handling related queries
✔ Managing payroll payments including PAYE, social taxes and pension contributions
✔ Calculating sales commissions and bonus payments in line with company policy
What We’re Looking For
💡 AAT qualification (or equivalent)
💡 Experience in a similar finance or accounting role
💡 Strong IT skills, particularly Excel and Microsoft Office
💡 Clear, confident communication skills
💡 High attention to detail and accuracy
💡 Organised, self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities
💡 A reliable and committed approach to work
