Experienced School Admin Assistant – Brent

A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Brent is seeking an experienced Admin Assistant to join their team. This role is key to ensuring the smooth running of the school’s administrative, financial, and organisational processes, while providing essential support to staff, pupils, and parents.

The Role
As a School Admin Assistant, you will:
• Support the administrative, financial, and organisational processes of the school
• Maintain and update pupil records and management information systems
• Provide administrative and organisational support to staff and the Senior Leadership Team
• Assist with administrative support for the Governing Body
• Undertake data management, reporting, and analysis tasks
• Complete and submit forms and returns to external agencies (e.g. DfE)
• Support financial procedures, including budget monitoring and expenditure tracking
• Manage stock, resources, and carry out audits as required
• Provide reception support, handling enquiries from parents, visitors, and external agencies
• Assist with school marketing, procurement, and promotional activities
• Offer administrative advice and guidance to staff, pupils, and parents
• Ensure compliance with school policies including safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection
About You
• Previous experience in an administrative role within a school or similar setting in the UK
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills
• Proficiency in ICT systems, including word processing and data management systems (e.g. SIMS, Arbor, or similar)
• Experience handling financial and administrative procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality
• Professional, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of safeguarding, data protection, and school procedures
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply via Uniform Education)
