Connect Appointments have a new opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to jon our Broxburn based manufacturing client, on a part-time basis.
What’s on offer?
- Part-time ongoing position - 26 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday, 12:00 to 18:00 & Friday, 12:00 to 16:30 (flexibility available)
- Paid at £17,000 per annum
As a Warehouse Operative, your duties will include:
- Picking and preparing stock accurately and efficiently
- Loading vans and ensuring all items match the relevant paperwork
- Operating a forklift truck within a warehouse environment
- Manoeuvring forklifts safely in busy industrial environment
- Safely stacking large quantities of goods onto shelves or pallets
- Moving goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport
- Keeping the warehouse environment clean, tidy and well organised
- Reporting any damaged or missing items to supervisors promptly
- Adhering to all site health and safety requirements at all times
The ideal Warehouse Operative will have:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment
- A good level of physical fitness - this is a hands-on, active role
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A basic level of IT skills
- A counterbalance forklift licence (you will be trained if you don't have one)
