Our client, a leading training provider in the education sector, is currently seeking an Apprenticeship Assessor - Chef to join their dynamic team. This permanent role offers a unique opportunity to work remotely, from home, with some travel required to assess and support learners at their workplaces. Key Responsibilities:
Assessing learners' progress and performance in the workplace
Providing coaching on the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviours for apprenticeship standards
Supporting learners in achieving their NVQ qualifications in Hospitality
Maintaining up-to-date records of learners' progress and achievements
Liaising with employers to ensure learners receive appropriate on-the-job training
Attending regular training and CPD sessions to maintain occupational expertise
Promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Job Requirements:
NVQ Level 2 in Hospitality
Extensive vocational experience in high-end establishments (Head Chef, Sous Chef, Chef de Partie)
Experience in preparing, cooking, and finishing a wide range of fresh, seasonal dishes
Experience in both front of house and back of house roles
Proficiency in preparing freshly cooked foods using various techniques, such as boning and filleting
Ability to work under pressure, meet targets, and adhere to strict deadlines
Strong communication and self-motivation skills
Ability to work autonomously and independently manage workload
Desirable Skills:
Level 3 Teaching qualification
NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery
BTEC Level 3 in Hospitality Management
Experience in the work-based learning or education environment
