Role Overview
A Housing Services Apprentice at Great Places supports neighbourhood teams with core housing operations while completing an accredited CIH Level 2 apprenticeship and gaining hands‑on experience through shadowing and meetings. The role suits someone motivated to make a positive social impact, bringing curiosity, strong communication, attention to detail, and a commitment to learning and community-focused work.
What you’ll be doing as a Housing Services apprentice at Great Places.....
· Supporting the neighbourhood services team with operational tasks –for example, but not limited to, income management, allocation of homes and resident involvement across the Central region (we have office locations in Oldham and Bolton).
· Completing an accredited CIH L2 apprenticeship course.
· Shadowing neighbourhood team colleagues and attending numerous internal and external meetings.

What you’ll need....
· Curious, can-do attitude and a desire to make a difference.
· Commitment to completing your apprenticeship and engaging with the Growing Greatness development programme.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Keen eye for detail and good organisational skills.
· GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above would be beneficial.
· Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel).
· A clean UK driving licence and access to a car would be desirable.
· Ability to work as part of a team, as well as using your own initiative and time management skills to deliver tasks on time.
· Empathy for those who have been disadvantaged and who need help and support to achieve their goals and aspirations.
· Commitment to understand the challenges and opportunities that exist in the communities in which we work. We particularly value lived experience in social housing.
· Commitment to observe and comply with all policies / procedures / working practices / regulations and in particular Great Places Equality and Diversity Policy, Health and Safety Policy and Safeguarding Policy.
