People Services Administrator Apprentice

You will provide an effective and efficient administrative service to the People team and all Great Places Colleagues.
What you’ll be doing as an Apprentice at Great Places…
Act as the first point of contact for all People queries, delivering timely, accurate resolutions and a consistently high standard of customer service.
Monitor and manage colleague requests through the in‑house ticketing system and shared mailbox, ensuring queries are prioritised and responded to efficiently.
Administer HR documentation including contracts, offer paperwork, employment change letters and declarations of interest, using the HR system where appropriate.
Process new starters by inputting information from the recruitment system into Cascade, managing returned paperwork, and completing onboarding tasks such as references and digital right‑to‑work checks.
Process DBS applications via the Experian online system and manage all associated onboarding and compliance requirements.
Administer leaver processes and maintain accurate, compliant HR systems and records in line with policy and legislation.
Support payroll and benefits administration, including collating monthly payroll documentation (new starters, leavers, changes) and managing benefits such as WPA, The Marketplace and annual leave purchases.
Use key HR systems (Cascade, The Marketplace, Expenses+, Experian) effectively and process People Team invoices, including raising purchase orders.

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above would be beneficial
Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Ability to work as part of a team, as well as using your own initiative and time management skills to deliver tasks on time
