Practice Accounts Assistant
Proactive Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a well-established accountancy practice in Staffordshire.
Our client provides a broad range of services to our clients which include preparing statutory accounts, tax returns, bookkeeping, audits and payroll. This is varied across multiple industries and range from small owner managed businesses to larger limited companies.
Salary: £26,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
Office Hours: Mon-Fri 9am – 5pm | Part Time also considered
Role Summary
The successful candidate will have a varied role which would include producing financial statements for Sole traders, Partnerships and Companies for management review. The role also requires the liaising with clients to provide support when needed and to resolve queries. The candidate will occasionally be required to provide training on cloud-based software to our clients and therefore must have a good understanding in this area.
Key Responsibilities:

Assisting in the preparation of financial statements for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies

Preparation and submission of VAT returns

Working with accountancy software such as IRIS, Sage and Xero
-
Liasing with clients to resolve queries and provide support

General office duties
Candidate Requirements:
-
AAT qualified/part qualified or equivalent professional experience
-
Prior experience working in an accountancy practice

Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and Word
-
SAGE Experience essential.

Xero and IRIS experience is a plus.

Must have excellent attention to detail

Strong organisational and communication skills

Be able to work as part of a team as well as independently

Driving licence is preferable
