Rate: £95 - £110 per day (based on experience)
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term | Term-Time Only
Start Date: Post Easter start

We are working with a well-regarded specialist school in Oldham that is looking to appoint a committed Behaviour Support Assistant to join their school community. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a cohesive and supportive staff team within a well-resourced setting that prioritises student wellbeing, progress, and inclusion.
The school supports secondary-aged students (KS3-KS4) with a range of additional needs, including SEMH and behavioural challenges. Staff work collaboratively to create a structured, nurturing and consistent environment where pupils feel safe, supported and ready to engage in learning.
The Role
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will support students on a 1:1 and small group basis, helping them to regulate their emotions, manage behaviour positively and access the curriculum successfully.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting students with challenging behaviour and additional needs
Building strong, consistent and professional relationships
Implementing effective behaviour management strategies
De-escalating incidents calmly and confidently
Promoting resilience, emotional regulation and positive routines
Working closely with teaching staff, SENCO and pastoral teams
Contributing to a safe, structured and inclusive learning environmentThis role is ideal for candidates with experience in behaviour support, SEN, SEMH, youth work, alternative provision or secondary school settings.
