As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in delivering a smooth, efficient and professional front‑of‑house service while supporting essential administrative functions across a busy and dynamic school office.
About the role:
Provide a welcoming, professional reception service to pupils, staff, visitors and external agencies
Manage incoming calls, emails, post and general enquiries promptly and efficiently
Maintain accurate visitor logs and ensure safeguarding, security and ID procedures are followed
Support a variety of administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, document preparation and photocopying
Assist with arranging meetings, appointments and visitor access
Work closely with office managers and wider admin teams to ensure seamless daily operations
Uphold confidentiality, professionalism and strong communication at all times
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience in a receptionist or front‑of‑house role (school/education experience desirable but not essential)
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
A calm, friendly, and proactive approach to handling a busy reception environment
Competent with Microsoft Office and general administrative systems
Experience using, SIMS, CPOMS, Inventry hugely beneficialTo be eligible you must:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application
